| The Iberian Conflict - Released!   02.Jan.08

The Rome: Total Realism team is proud to release our latest project, The Iberian Conflict. It is the first in a series of historical mini campaigns that will ultimately lead to release of the long awaited, RTR VII, the full campaign. It is called a "mini-campaign" because: it is just a small part of the future RTR VII, which just offers something bigger, however, there is nothing "mini-" about this game! TIC covers the action on the Iberian Peninsula from 238 to 218 BC. The game sees Carthage, led by Hannibal's father, Hamilcar Barca, square off against a playable Celt-Iberian faction with several minor factions thrown in for fun. The game uses all new units, new maps, new music and interrelated scripted missions. These were all designed to blend together, giving you an immersive, challenging gaming experience.

| Forum and TIC Information   9.Nov.07

An update is long overdue. We have put the idea of using our own forums on hold for now. We have a functional and stable area over at TWC, and we have no intention of leaving at the moment. The development of RTR VII and TIC has never been so strong before, and transferring forums right now would cause nothing but an unnecessary disturbance to the development. Until TIC is released, we will not even be thinking about the forums at all.

TIC is progressing very quickly, and the final product is rapidly approaching. Keep an eye on our forums at TWC for the not-so-far-away release!

| Forum Issues   25.May.07

Unfortunately, we are having severe issues with our message board, once again. Our system administrators have been contributing a miraculous amount of effort towards the forum, but more time is needed. The board is expected to be down for weeks, in order to confirm that we will no longer be plagued with problems.

Do not worry; this will not affect the development of RTR 7, thanks to our friends at Total War Center. They invited us into their forum, and provided us with a developer section to allow us to continue our work. Please visit our sub-forum over at TWC for the latest news and previews for RTR 7.

After a year without any updates for the website, I'm not sure where to begin!

First of all, the Total Realism team is currently working on their masterpiece, RTR 7. Much more information, unit previews, and the upcoming movie preview are available on the forums. The project was nearly dead for a year, but in the last 5 months, it recovered from the near death situation. The project is now moving at full strength with approximately 50 developers.

There will be a temporary forum downtime, as we are currently switching to a new service provider. The forum should return in a couple of days.

In other news, we are proud to announce that Rome: Total Realism is officially adopting the fan-made modification, Platinum Edition, as an official version of RTR. You can expect the download page to be updated shortly, with the 1.9 release of PE.

In addition, the project Medieval: Total Realism has been brought under the roof of Total Realism. Our plan is to have both teams share the same forum, which will hopefully lead to cooperative, and benefit both teams.

We thank you, our loyal fans who have been encouraging us to continue our project, even through all of our difficult times.
